How to Support MapAction's Work
Monday, 20 November 2006

chad_childrenFor the past 4 years MapAction has worked at the front end in the world's most horrific disasters including the Asian tsunami and the Kashmir earthquake. We have played a vital role in saving lives and helping to bring hope quickly to shattered communities.

When relief charities arrive, MapAction provides them with accurate, up-to-date maps showing the locations of groups of affected people, passable routes, which medical facilities are functioning, and much more vital information.

The fact that relief agencies can 'hit the ground running' and make decisions based on accurate data presented in an intelligible way, can only help to save lives and reduce suffering.

Help us to maintain this unique but vital capacity.

We would like in particular to acknowledge with gratitude the strong support from the following organisations.

The Vodafone Group Foundation has provided core funding for MapAction since 2002.
