A MapAction team deployed in October to the Dominican Republic where Tropical Storm Noel caused severe flooding and displaced more than 64,000 people. More than 80% of the country has been affected. The MapAction team produced situation mapping for government, national and international humanitarian agencies working in the emergency. As in previous deployments of this kind, the MapAction personnel worked closely with the UN Disaster Assessment and Coordination (UNDAC) team in country.
