More than 80% of the country has been affected. This was MapAction’s second emergency mission in the Caribbean region this year, having sent a team to Jamaica following Hurricane Dean. The MapAction team produced situation mapping for government, national and international humanitarian agencies working in the emergency. As in previous deployments of this kind, the MapAction personnel worked closely with the UN Disaster Assessment and Coordination (UNDAC) team in country.
